What you need

cup unsalted butter

tsp vanilla extract

cup all purpose flour

cup granulated sugar

sprinkles

egg

box frosting
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add baking powder and flour, one cup at a time, mixing after each addition. Divide dough into 4 balls, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 20 minutes. Working with one cookie dough ball at a time, place the dough onto a sheet of parchment paper and knead it for a few minutes to get it into a smooth ball. Roll out ball one at a time and use to cut out your star shape cookies. We have a star kit of ten and the dough makes two sets of the 10 stars. Bake for 10-12 minutes till golden brown. Let cool for 15-20 minutes. To make the Christmas tree: Place the largest cookie onto a serving platter, cakestand or flat surface. Stack your cookie by size. You will need frosting in the middle of each cookie to stick to each other. Decorate the corners of cookies with frosting and sprinkles!View original recipe
