Pecan Pie Donuts🌰🍯🍩🥛 we miss posting pictures, so here’s our new recipe below! Donut Batter: *2 cups all-purpose flour *1 1/2 cups sugar *2 tsp baking powder *1 tsp ground cinnamon *1/2 tsp nutmeg *1/4 tsp salt *1 Lg egg *1 1/4 cups whole milk *2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted *2 tsp pure vanilla extract Pecan Pie Topping: *1/2 cup unsalted butter *1 cup dark brown sugar *1/3 cup honey *2tbsp heavy cream *1 tsp vanilla extract *1 1/2 cups crushed pecans Cinnamon Sugar Topping: *1/2 cup sugar *2 tsp cinnamon *1 stick melted butter *Sea salt to sprinkle, as desired Instructions: *Donuts: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease donut pans. Into a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined. We use a stand mixer for the donuts but you do not have to.Pipe the batter into the baking pans, filling each one a little more than three-quarters full. Bake for 12 minutes, until donuts rise and are not wet on top. Allow to cool for 5 minutes. While cooling start pecan pie topping. Then tap the doughnuts out onto a sheet pan Pecan Pie Topping: Combine in a medium saucepan the butter, brown sugar, honey, heavy cream and vanilla extract. Stir at medium heat for about 2 minutes and combine in the chopped pecans. Stir pecans into filling for about 1 additional minute till pecans are covered and nice and gooey. Cinnamon Sugar Topping: Melt the butter into a dish big enough to dunk your donut in. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Dip bottom and side of donut only into the butter and then in the cinnamon sugar! Then spoon on pecan pie topping to liking.
