Honey, Brie Mine! Honey Hazelnut Brie Wheel

A delightful baked brie appetizer featuring a wheel of brie wrapped in puff pastry with honey and chopped hazelnuts, then baked until golden brown.

What you need

box puff pastry

brie
egg

tbsp honey

tbsp water

cup hazelnut
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and roast your hazelnuts for 15 minutes. Using a paper towel rub off skin of the hazelnuts. Chop finely, set aside. Increase oven temp to 375 degrees F. 2. On a flour cookie sheet place your Brie wheel on top of 1 sheet of puff pastry. (We cut out a piece at the top of the Brie to resemble a heart, optional) 3. Pour 2 tbsp of honey on top of the Brie, spread smooth. Next sprinkle 1/3 cup of chopped hazelnuts. 4. Take your puff pastry and mold it around your wheel. Then cut your second sheet of puff pastry a little and wrap it around the wheel. You may have to use about 2 tbsp of water to get your edges to stick together. 5. Beat egg and 1 tbsp of water together and brush all over puff pastry. 6. Place in over and bake for about 25-30 minutes till golden brown!
