Butterscotch Spiced Cupcakes 🍯🧁

These cupcakes are super easy to make and are better than a spiced cake! They only take 15 minutes to bake and the buttercream with butterscotch drizzle is delicious!

What you need

cup unsalted butter

tbsp heavy cream

tsp ground cinnamon

egg

butterscotch

cup granulated sugar

cup powdered sugar

tsp baking soda

tsp vanilla extract

tsp cinnamon

cup brown sugar

tsp baking powder

box butterscotch pudding

cup flour

cup milk
cup unsweetened applesauce

tsp ground ginger
cup vegetable oil
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cupcake pan with baking cups. Yields 12 cupcakes. 2. Combine all dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Set aside. 3. Combine all wet ingredients in a bowl. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients, whisk together. 4. Pour cupcake batter into prepared baking cups. 5. Bake for 15-18 min. 6. Let cupcakes cool on a rack for 20-30 minutes. 7. Make frosting by beating together butter, powder sugar, spices and heavy cream till smooth. 8. Use a frosting tip to cut a circle in center of the cupcake. 9. Pipe in butterscotch pudding. Optional if you want to fill the center of the cupcake. 10. Pipe buttercream on cupcake and drizzle butterscotch topping. Enjoy!View original recipe
