Eggnog Cinnamon Swirl Cookies

These cookies are so yummy, super thick and soft. Frosted with a cinnamon buttercream and topped with a cinnamon sugar swirl! They only take 10 minutes to bake and require no chill time. Makes 16 medium size cookies. Full recipe in caption.

What you need

cup powdered sugar

cup eggnog
tsp vanilla extract
egg

cup granulated sugar

cup unsalted butter

tsp salt

tsp nutmeg

tsp ground cinnamon

tsp aluminum-free baking powder

cup all purpose flour
Instructions
* Preheat oven to 350° F. Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper. * In a bowl combine dry ingredients for cookie. Excluding sugar. * Using a hand mixer or stand in mixer fitted with paddle beat butter and sugar till fluffy. Add in egg yolks, egg nog and vanilla extract. Beat together. Slowly add in dry ingredients till dough forms. * Using a small cookie scoop, scoop dough into balls. We roll them after with our hands. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and flatten them down a bit with a back of a measuring cup. * Make frosting while cookies cool. By beating together butter, powder sugar, cinnamon, egg nog and vanilla extract till smooth. Put in piping bag. * Make cinnamon swirl mix by melting butter and stirring in brown sugar and cinnamon. Place in piping bag. * Frost cookies, dust cinnamon sugar on top and pipe cinnamon swirl on top. Enjoy!View original recipe
