Apple Dumplings / Crescent Rolls

Dumpling or Crescent 🥐 either way you have to make these!! A quick and easy recipe for delicious apple pastries baked with a rich brown sugar and cinnamon sauce, topped with pecans and heavy cream.

What you need

tsp cinnamon

cup pecan halves

apple

can crescent roll dough

cup heavy cream

cup brown sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350° and grease a square 8x8 baking dish with butter. Peel and core apple and then slice apples. In a small microwave safe bowl melt butter. Pour brown sugar and cinnamon into bowl and stir till combine. Mix sliced apples in mixture and removed them. Separate crescent dough into triangles. Starting at the wider end, roll one apple slice up into the crescent. Repeat with remaining apple slices and crescents. Place into prepared pan. Chopped up pecans and pour over apple crescents. Then pour the heavy cream over them and next pour remaining brown sugar mixture over the crescents. Top off with leftover pecans. Bake apple crescents until golden brown, 30 minutes. Now you have some apple dumplings! Serve warm with ice cream and spoon sauce from pan over the top!View original recipe
