What you need

tsp ground nutmeg

cup sugar

egg

tsp vanilla extract

tbsp heavy cream

tsp baking powder

tbsp unsalted butter

cup powdered sugar

tsp ground cinnamon

cup all purpose flour

tsp salt

white chocolate

cup dairy milk
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Grease donut pans. Into a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla. 3. Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined. We use a stand mixer for the donuts but you do not have to. 4. Pipe the batter into the baking pans, filling each one a little more than three-quarters full. 5. Bake for 12 minutes, until donuts rise and are not wet on top. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then tap the donuts out onto a sheet pan. 6. Place donuts in a bowl and crumble together with a fork into small crumbs. 7. For the frosting: beat all ingredients together in a stand mixer or by using handheld mixer, till smooth. 8. Add frosting to donut crumbs and combine. 9. Form medium size balls and place on parchment paper. Store in freezer for an hour, till very cold and hard. 10. Melt white chocolate in increments of 15 seconds till smooth. 11. Take donut cake balls out of freezer and dunk into white chocolate and roll into sprinkles if you like. Will harden in a few minutes to enjoy!View original recipe
