Brown Butter Banana Cinnamon Roll Cake 🍌

This Brown Butter Banana Cinnamon Roll Cake is so good! The texture is moist and it has a nice crumb to the cake. This is perfect with a cup of coffee or tea (for me)! You will need 10 ingredients total: brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, bananas, egg, milk, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder + powder sugar. Full recipe below. We did our shopping at Giuntas!

What you need

tsp baking powder

cup milk

tbsp unsalted butter

tbsp brown sugar

cup flour

tsp vanilla extract

tsp cinnamon
egg

tbsp heavy cream

banana

tbsp butter

tbsp cinnamon powder
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Prepare a 8x8 baking dish with a square of parchment paper and grease dish with baking spray. 2. In a small bowl combine brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter, stir and set aside. 3. Make brown butter by simply heating butter on stovetop on medium heat and stir constantly for 5 minutes till brown. 4. In a medium bowl combined mashed or puréed bananas, brown butter, and brown sugar and whisk together. Add egg, milk and extract and stir. 5. In a separate bowl add baking powder to flour and stir. Mix into wet ingredients and combine. Add batter to prepared baking dish and smooth out evenly. 6. Scoop out cinnamon topping on to cake and swirl into the top of the cake. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Ours baked exactly at 30 minutes. 7. Remove from oven and combine powder sugar and milk for icing. Once cooled pop out of baking dish and pour icing on top. Slice and enjoy.View original recipe
