Sticky Toffee Apple Pudding Cake

This cake only takes 15 min to prep and 30 minutes to bake! You can make it the morning of a holiday or a weekend and it’s absolutely delicious!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9” skillet or a 9×9 baking dish. Combine flour, baking powder and cinnamon and set aside. Beat butter and sugar till smooth. Add in eggs and vanilla extract and combine together. In a medium saucepan boil apple cider. Remove from heat and add baking soda and stir. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients a little at a time, alternating pouring in the warm apple cider. Add in apples and pecans, fold in with spatula. Put batter in a prepared skillet or baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes. While baking make toffee by melting butter. Add in brown sugar and stir till dissolves. Add in heavy cream and reduce heat and stir till thickens. Add in vanilla extract and stir. Remove cake from oven and let it sit for 5 minutes. Poke holes in the cake and pour toffee sauce over the cake. Optional, sprinkle extra pecans and add ice-cream.
