Santa Pop-Tarts (Cranberry Pear Jam)

Popping into your Friday with these Santa Pop-Tarts 🎅🏻🎄 Cranberry Pear Jam Pop-Tart Ingredients: * 1 box frozen puff pastry * 1 egg white * 1½ cups fresh cranberries * 1 pear * ¼ cup water * ½ cup brown sugar *You can use store bought jam, any flavor desired Tools: * Heart shake cookie cutter Decorations: * Candy Eyeballs * Cherry sours or you can use extra cranberries for Santa noses * Mini Marshmallows * Shredded coconut * Vanilla glaze (1 cup powder sugar, 6 tablespoons of milk, mix together) * Red decorating icing Instructions: * Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. * If you are making your homemade jam like us, in a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, diced pears, water, and brown sugar. Bring ingredients to a boil, boil for 5 minutes on medium heat or until cranberries and pears have started to break down. Place in the refrigerator to cool. * While jam cools place your pastry puff sheets onto a parchment paper cookie sheet and cut our heart shape dough. Each heart should have a friend to go on top (watch video). * Take jam out of refrigerator and put a small spoonful in middle of the hearts and then place heart shape friend on top and crimp the edges together with a fork. Repeat till all your heart shapes are filled and covered. * Brush egg white on top of heart and make 3 mini slits on top of heart with a knife. * Bake for 20-25 minutes till lightly brown. At 15 minutes your hearts will start to puff up. We press them down in the oven to flatten them a bit. * Take out of oven to cool for 15 minutes before decorating. * Put heart pop tarts on cooling rack upside down so the top of the heart is flat!
