Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. If making homemade jam, in a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, diced pears, water, and brown sugar. Bring ingredients to a boil, boil for 5-8 minutes on medium heat till they soften. Place in the refrigerator to cool. While jam cools place pastry puff sheets onto a parchment paper cookie sheet and cut out pop tarts using heart shape cookie cutter. Each heart should have a friend to go on top. Take jam out of refrigerator and put a small spoonful in middle of the bottom of the hearts and then place heart shape friend on top and crimp the edges together with a fork. Repeat till all your heart shapes are filled and covered. Brush egg white on top and make 3 mini slits on top with a knife. Bake for 20-25 minutes till lightly brown. At 15 minutes your hearts will start to puff up, press them down and continue to cook for 5-10 min. Take out of oven to cool. Put heart pop tarts on cooling rack upside down so the top of the heart is flat. Decorate point of pop tart with red icing to make the Santa hate. The curves of the heart are the beard. Add eyes and nose!
