Pumpkin Pie Trifle

An easy pumpkin trifle recipe featuring prepared pumpkin bread, ginger snap cookies, vanilla pudding, pumpkin puree, and whipped topping, layered to create a festive dessert.

Prepare cream filling by combining pudding mix and milk in a large mixing bowl. Add canned pumpkin purée and pumpkin pie spice and continue to mix until smooth and combined completely. Fold in 3 cups of the whipped topping. Cover and chill for 30 minutes to an hour, to set. Cut cake into 1-inch cubes. Layer half the cake in a glass trifle dish. Top cake layer with broken cookie pieces, about 8-10 cookies broken into pieces. Spread half of pumpkin cream on top of cookie layer. Continue with another layer of cake and cookies. Top with remaining cream layer and the additional whip cream. Sprinkle cinnamon on top for decoration and or crumble some more ginger snaps on top of you like to tasting!
