A delicious chocolate peanut butter snack cake perfect for Easter. This one-layer cake combines dark chocolate flavors with a creamy peanut butter frosting, simple to bake and enjoy!

1: Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease an 8x8 or 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper. 2: In a medium mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. 3: In another medium mixing bowl, combine sour cream, egg, hot water, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk together. 4: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until smooth. 5: Pour the cake mix into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes. If using a 9x13 pan, check around 20 minutes for doneness. 6: Remove from the oven and let it cool. Flip out onto a cooling rack. 7: To make the frosting, beat together the butter, powdered sugar, and peanut butter. Add vanilla extract and heavy cream, beating until smooth. 8: Frost the cooled cake and sprinkle crushed peanut butter cups on top. Enjoy!
